Distribution Solutions Group Buys Winzer and FastServ Supply
DSG is acquiring GradeEight Holdings, the parent of MRO brands Winzer and FastServ Supply, expanding its specialty distribution footprint.
Distribution Solutions Group (NASDAQ: DSGR) just made a move to get bigger in the industrial supplies world. The Fort Worth-based specialty distributor announced a definitive agreement to acquire GradeEight Holdings, LLC — a multi-brand maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) distribution platform that runs two well-known brands: Winzer Corporation and FastServ Supply.
If MRO sounds like alphabet soup to you, think of it as the category of products that keeps factories, fleets, and facilities running — nuts, bolts, lubricants, safety gear, and the like. It's unglamorous stuff, but businesses absolutely can't function without it, which makes it a pretty resilient market to be in.

Winzer, founded back in 1978, operates through a national network of franchisees, giving it broad geographic reach without DSG having to own every location outright. FastServ Supply takes a different approach, running retail-facing storefronts concentrated in Texas and Arkansas. Together, the two brands give DSG a nice blend of franchise-powered scale and direct retail presence in the South.
For DSG, this deal fits squarely into the playbook of a company that's been building itself into a go-to platform for specialty distribution. Bolt-on acquisitions like this one let the company layer in new customer relationships, product lines, and regional coverage without having to build from scratch. Shareholders will want to watch for integration updates and any financial terms DSG discloses as the deal moves toward closing.
